BMW F10 - initializing used TMS module in HEADLIGHT

I bought used module. Headlight with LED rings and XENON. XENON works OK, but LED need to be initialized. But when I try initialize it by ISTA-D it says that I need new one, not used module to initialize it.
I have already tried to program it by ISTA-P. After programming FEM (or FRM) LED works but after ignition off and back on LED isn't working.
BMW F10 from 2013 lift.
Any idea?

CIC from e90 retrofit into e60

Hello all,
I've heard that CIC taken from e90 is possible to retrofit into e60. I have a friend who has e90 CIC and want's to install it into e60. He already bought the control panel with 8 buttons for e60 and retrofit emulator(can filter) and what we don't know is how to flash CIC with which ZUSB to make it work with e60 ihka and all other modules. It does not work only with coding, for sure it must be flashed.
I would be very thankful if someone share info.

My customer lost all his bmw 335i 2014 smart key.now i want to programme new smart key but i'm not able to locate CAS module in the car i search soo many place in the car can't found cas module.i'm here pleading with member here to help me with location of CAS module.hope you will understand and help me out thanks in advance.

E60 NBT no sound when calling over BT

Hey. I have problem With E60 and NBT unit. First few months all was working perfectly fine. Later at some point dissapeared sound over Bluetooth on calls. Mic working fine, but no sound.
I tried to update NBT software, but that did not helped.
There is no ENET pins in OBD, so cannot do diagnostic. I heard somewhere that i can connect through USB to Ethernet adapter, is that true?
Or maybe someone knows what is fault?

Mechatronics problem...

Hello Guys,

Hope someone can help me. Got a rare problem. I can't get my car out of park. (335d 2007). When i read failures on EGS i get 4A86 and 5015. When i erase those codes, i can get it of park and drive normally. But when the car goes asleep, and then i wanna drive same problem again. Have to erase faultcodes everytime. Problem is that the interlock and shiftlock don't get 12v from the mechatronic. Checked wiring no problems. I measered the resistance of the shiftlocks also good. So i decided to replace the whole transmission complete. After that problem solved. But no couple of months later, same problem!?!!?!?devil Did check everything again, and it seemed mechatronics broke down again. Can someone give me advise? Am i missing something? Is the electronic part of mechatronics repairable? Why two times in a row?

Recoding airbag module

Hello all,

My airbag module was broken and I was not able to reach it with ncsexpert, INPA and ISTA-D. I replaced the module with an identical used spare part and now I have connection with the new unit.

Now I need to code it but unfortunatly I couldn't read the code from the old module since it was broken.

-Does anyone know how I can get the right code 4 my car?
-Can someone tell me how I can recode the module? (In which order?)

The car is an E53 X5 3.0d from 10/2005

Nettodat coding shows incorrect daten files

Hey guys,

I've been trying to get my interior lighting (with lights package) to go a little brighter as it is barely visible at this point with the dimmer on max (the instrument lights are ok, but the actual orange interior lights from the lights package are very dim). I changed U_POTI_DIMM_MIN from wert 2 to wert 1 (1V to 1.098V - hardly much of a bump) and U_POTI_DIMM_DELTA the same (3V vs 3.294), together adding up to a miserly almost 0.4V bump. It is a tiny bit better, but only if I'm looking hard. So I decided to dip my feet into custom values coding via nettodat.trc.

I'm ok until the very end of the process (I have my custom value added, and have a NATTODAT.MAN file exported from NCS Dummy) but when I get to the coapiCodeSgByNettoData bit, I notice that it selects the wrong daten files. The first time I was not paying much attention and flashed like that, it completed without errors, but all that happened was that the U_POTI_DIMM_MIN value was just erased from the next FSW_PSW.TRC I read out (and obviously no change to the lighting). I coded it back with a backup, and tried again and that's when I noticed what was happening:

I have an LM2 with the latest part number (manufactured in 2013), but the car is from 2005 (i'm guessing this is somewhere at the root of my issue). For this LM2 the normal daten files that it gets coded with are these:
LM2_E6X.C35, A_E60LM2.IPO, LM_AHL_2.PRG, but when I go to basic functions and try to code with the NETTODATA.MAN file I can see the listed ones are: LM_E60.C0B, A_E60LM2.IPO, LM60.PRG and in the CBD Name field on the coapiCodeSgByNettoData dialogue box I see LM_E60.C0B is prefilled.

Anyone got any ideas as to why this is happening and how to resolve this (my guess is that it may be something to do with the VO and/or the production date of the car, and thus it is trying to code it as if it has the old LM1 still inside- but i'm not sure how to check that).

E90 CIC Sat Nav Country Change

Hi Everyone

Got recently japanese E90 with CIC unit (2010 model). Now I am trying to converte GPS to my country' specs.
As I understand I have to change VO in CAS and FRM, so I have deleted VO for Japanese specs . Added English and VO of my country's radio and got those units coded.

In CCC I remember I had to code CTUNE and CAPPL as well. However in CIC there are no such modules.

The question is, what module do I need to code, is it just CIC and CID or something else too?
Also, after coding do I need to use WINKFP to update any modules (again on CCC I had to update 5 modules), if so which modules do I need to update with WINKFP. Or is it something else needs to be done, like adding another GPS receiver etc?

[E90] DSC system malfunction

Hey all!

a friend of mine has a DSC issue with his E90 320D -06.
During normal operation, while driving on highway or speed above 30 km/h he gets a blinking DSC light and the system is also slowing the tires down.

The DSC is doing what it is suppose to do, but the road conditions are not wet or slippery.

Car has been diagnosed in ISTA 4.03.21 and INPA without any related faultcodes.
Wheel speed sensors has been checked to monitor differences, but they all show the same value regardless of current speed and blinking DSC.

Could it be ABS-sensors? Based on my research this is a common fault on E90.
All wheels and the other parts has been thoroughly cleaned with brake clear but no effect.

E90 320d low temp and Mpg

Hi there
I'm having an issue with low coolant temp and low mpg. I already changed both thermostats, car had a full service recently- oil and all filters.
When driving in town it gives me around 29mpg and temp is around 70C, 75C after a bit longer drive (30min). I think I had a max temp of 82C
Any idea where to look? No fault codes except glow plugs and relay and aux pump. Car start badly in the morning - I'm gonna change glow plugs soon.
Did anyone had similar issues? Its 2005 e90 m47n2 diesel engine.

Looking for someone with F2X Urban line

Hi Guys,

I have a problem with the ambient light in the car. I have option in iDrive to select Classic or Urban ambient light but for some reason when I select "Classic" the orange light that used to be there before no longer lights up the interior. The "Urban" blue works perfectly and the car is lit inside. I went to BMW garage twice but they are telling me there was never orange light. Either I am loosing my mind or those @#$$%#$ are just ignorant.

I want to retrofit NBT in F25 car where now is CIC. I know about ZGW, CID, wiring etc.
I dont have yet new controller, can I use old ZBE with NBT unit ?
